Twenty + Change 01
The first edition of Twenty + Change debuted in 2007 as an exhibition of Toronto's contemporary architecture, landscape, and urban design projects, held in conjunction with the City of Toronto's Festival of Architecture and Design. Twenty + Change exhibited built, in-the-works, and speculative projects by twenty-one designers and firms working in Toronto. The intention of the exhibition was to showcase work by emerging practices and designers who have yet to receive widespread public and media attention for their speculative or completed work.
The level of professional and public interest in the Twenty + Change concept and the work of Toronto’s emerging designers was incredible. The exhibition received considerable local and national media coverage and travelled to numerous venues in Toronto, as well as to Cambridge and Vancouver.
Special thanks to the dedicated group of organizers who conceived of and invested an extensive amount of time to bring this project to fruition: Meg Graham, Andre D'Elia, Drew Sinclair, Rob Downey and Thomas Nemeskeri of superkül inc | architect.
